Bigfoot Heating and Cooling isn't some run of the mill, fly-by-night company of strangers. We're your neighbors. You may run into us at the local grocery store, restaurant or even a Ravens game! With over 30 years of experience you can rest assured you're getting the job done correctly on the first try. Our primary goal is to provide a superior product while keeping quality and service in mind at all times.

Why such a goofy name like Bigfoot?

Bigfoot is the nickname of the owner, Greg Jones. When Greg was young and new to the industry, he worked for a company that used the old fashioned walkie-talkies to communicate with each other. Everyone had had a "handle" to use on the walkies. Greg always felt out of place calling people on the walkie-talkie because he didn't have a handle. "Greg to PoppaBear", "Greg to RoadRunner, come in RoadRunner", he would say. So as you could imagine, he was anxious to come up with a name. He would ask the boss, "What's my handle gonna be?" The boss would always respond, "Be patient, it will come to us, we'll think of a good one!" Well one not-so-good day for Greg, it happened. While working in an attic, checking a unit for replacement, Greg slipped off of a rafter and his foot came down through the drywall. Greg was so upset. Being that he was working with the boss that day, he was really afraid that he was in big trouble. Poppa Bear sensed this and tried to make Greg feel better by saying, "All I seen was your big foot hanging down out the ceiling! That's it!! Your name will be Big Foot for now on. " So Big Foot was born and he was never referred to as Greg again. Greg continued to work for Poppa Bear for many years and reached the level of Head Installer before they parted ways. He vowed that if he ever started his own company, it would be called Big Foot. He kept that dream and in 2007, Greg opened the doors to Bigfoot Heating and Cooling. He also vowed to never fall through a ceiling ever again.
